A Look at Retreat Life

Upcoming Retreats

Iron & Ivy: Unlocking the Gate to Our Personal Histories

It's a new creative era, and I recently joined forces with poet Sam Bradshaw to bring you Iron & Ivy—our four-night poetry retreat in Savannah, GA (June 16–20, 2026), rooted in thresholds, history, and the intricate nature of storytelling.

This retreat is built around origin stories and personal mythologies. We’ll explore where we come from, the growing pains (and pleasures) that shaped us, and the ways identity is inherited, chosen, resisted, and rewritten. We’ll write toward the self with honesty and care. We’ll gently unpack what we’ve carried. We’ll ask what we want to keep.

Registration for the Iron & Ivy retreat is now closed, but you can follow us @leylinespoetrycollective on Instagram to keep up with all our future projects!

Retreat Testimonials

Seneca Basoalto

"Participating in Michelle's retreat was the perfect restoration of my creative energy. It truly felt like my perspective was resuscitated after being limited by the restrictions of daily life."

Join The Almanac!

Registration is still open for our April session of The Almanac!

Following the Fool: In this session, we’ll explore what it means to be the fool in our own story—and practice seeing it as a kind of blessing. We’ll take stock of the ways we’ve been naive, brave, ridiculous, and hopeful, and follow the Fool’s journey to uncover where those moments might hold real creative power.
